Police Seek Assailants in Gold-Colored Sedan in Baltimore Drive Robbery

The victim was waiting at a bus stop on Baltimore Drive near Fletcher Parkway at 6:05 a.m.

A man waiting at a bus stop on Baltimore Drive was robbed at knifepoint Saturday morning as a car swooped up and a man with a knife jumped out to accost him, police said.

The victim was waiting at a bus stop on Baltimore Drive near Fletcher Parkway at 6:05 a.m. in La Mesa when a gold-colored, 4-door sedan traveling southbound on Baltimore Drive stopped in front of him.

“A male exited the front passenger seat and held a knife to the victim’s side while a female passenger in the vehicle grabbed the victim’s backpack,” said La Mesa police Sgt. Katy Lynch.

“The male and female suspects got back into the vehicle, which was occupied by an additional male passenger and was driven by a second female.”

The victim ran to a nearby gas station to call police, as the car sped to the south on Baltimore, Lynch said. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspects or their vehicle.

The victim suffered a minor scratch to his side but did not require medical treatment.

The suspect who wielded the knife was described as a white or Hispanic male in his 30s with a goatee wearing a black-hooded shirt or sweatshirt. The female who grabbed the victim’s backpack was described as a white or Hispanic female in her 30s wearing a gold or similar-color jacket.

An investigation is continuing. Police asked anyone with information to call the La Mesa Police Department at 619-667-1416 or 619-469-6111, or Crime Stoppers’ Anonymous toll-free tip line at 888-580-TIPS or on line at sdcrimestoppers.com.

Took off south on Baltimore? Probably went back to their ghetto in southeast. These extremely low-life slimey snakes have such worthless lives that all they know how to do is take from everyone else.

Agreed Carol, yet I am trying to figure out how they got going South. The bus stop shown is on the Northbound side. Did they stop in the Southbound lane and cross the huge island on foot ? Did they make a Uturn across the island to go South or go up to the intersection and turn around? Something isn't adding up.
