Missing 5-Year-Old Found Safe
Lyric Consuelo Hathorn was reported missing Saturday morning.
UPDATE: La Mesa police say that the missing child has been safely located. Story from earlier Saturday is below:
La Mesa police are searching for a missing 5-year-old girl that was last seen in the 7500 block of El Cajon Boulevard at 6:50 a.m., according to an alert issued by the department.
Lyric Consuelo Hathorn is black with a light complexion, three feet tall, weighs 45 pounds and has brown hair, brown eyes and pierced ears, according to police. She has a red birthmark on her forehead between her eyes and was wearing faded black capri jeans.

A spokesman for La Mesa police said Hathorn might be with her grandmother.
“We’re waiting to see if we get a hold of Grandma,” he said.

Police are asking anyone who has seen Hathorn to call 911.
