Update: Gunman, Accomplice Still at Large in Shell Gas Station Robbery

The suspects are described as black males, both approximately 20-25 years old. One suspect was wearing black clothing. The other was wearing a red jacket and white T-shirt.

More details have emerged in the Shell station robbery at Dallas Street and Fletcher Parkway.

La Mesa police are still on the lookout Thursday for two male suspects who apparently worked together to rob the gas station at gunpoint, which was reported at 6:44 p.m. Wednesday.

One of the men wielded a black handgun as he demanded cash and cigarettes from a clerk, police said, noting that the clerk complied and the robber fled on foot.

While fleeing, the robber appeared to meet up outside the business with a man who apparently was acting as a lookout, police said. Both men then ran away southbound across Dallas Street.

Police described the suspects as black and in their early 20s. One is about 5-11 and 150 pounds, with braided hair, and the other has long hair and wore a red jacket, police said.

La Mesa police responded to a call at around 7 p.m. Wednesday evening, and deployed the ASTREA helicopter to search for two men suspected of robbing the and gas station at the corner of Dallas Street and Fletcher Parkway in La Mesa.

The suspects are described as black males, both approximately 20-25 years old. One suspect was wearing black clothing. The other was wearing a red jacket and white t-shirt.

The police said that the suspects are still being sought, and the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information on this case is asked to call the La Mesa Police Department at 619-667-1400.
