Traffic was backed up on westbound Interstate 8 in La Mesa Tuesday afternoon after a accident involving at least four vehicles sent a motorcyclist to the hospital, according to a UT San Diego report.
The crash occurred at 3:45 p.m., east of Route 125, with a CHP alert at 4:10 p.m. indicating two lanes of traffic were blocked. All lanes were open by 5 p.m., according to the CHP.
The motorcyclist had to be removed from underneath a car and was hospitalized, but the extent of injuries are unknown, according to UT San Diego.
