Medical Marijuana Delivery Woman Shot in Face Near La Mesa

The woman, 23, was shot and carjacked at 69th and Livingston streets in San Diego.

A woman who was delivering medical marijuana near San Diego's borders with La Mesa and Lemon Grove was shot in the face with a pellet gun and carjacked, San Diego police said Saturday.

The 23-year-old woman stopped her car, a white 1998 Chevy Malibu with California license plate number 6JAR664, in the vicinity of 69th and Livingston streets when she was approached by two men, according to San Diego police Officer David Stafford.

One of the men grabbed the woman by her head and tried to pull her out of the car's driver side, as the other, who was on the passenger side, fired several shots from a pellet gun, Stafford said. The woman was struck in the face by at least one of the pellets, Stafford said.
