A man was found dead under suspicious circumstances Thursday in a Spring Valley home, a sheriff's official said.
Deputies made the discovery about 6 a.m. while responding to a request to check on the welfare of a resident in the 9000 Block of Lemon Street, Lt. Glenn Giannantonio said.
Due to the circumstances of the death, homicide detectives were called in to investigate, according to Giannantonio, who declined to specify the nature of the suspicious evidence.
The dead man's identity was not immediately clear, the lieutenant said.
