Man Dies After Being Stabbed In Chest In Spring Valley

Hector Ivan Hernandez-Romero, 32, has been arrested as a suspect in the stabbing.

Update: Thursday, 9:22 a.m. – Hector Ivan Hernandez-Romero, 32, has been arrested in connection with the fatal stabbing that occurred Wednesday night in the 700 block of Sacramento Avenue in Spring Valley.

According to San Diego Sheriff's Lt. Dennis Burgos, Hernandez-Romero went unannounced to the home of an acquaintance and argued with the 30-year-old victim before allegedly stabbing him in the chest and fleeing. Hernandez-Romero was arrested at 5:50 a.m. Thursday morning at a residence in the 3200 block of Central Avenue in Spring Valley.

Wednesday, 9:55 p.m. – A man is dead after being fatally stabbed in the chest in Spring Valley on Wednesday night.

San Diego County Sheriff's Department deputies, along with emergency medical crews, responded to a call in the 700 block of Sacramento Avenue in Spring Valley a little after 8 p.m. Emergency crews took the victim, a man in his 20s, to a local hospital with a stab wound to the chest. He was pronounced dead at 8:42 p.m.

Authorities are currently searching for two suspects in the stabbing, described as Hispanic males with shaved heads, who fled the scene in a lifted pickup according to sheriff's deputies.
