La Mesa Teacher’s Aide Pleads Not Guilty to Sex with Teen Student

A teacher's aide at a La Mesa school for juvenile offenders pleaded not guilty Tuesday to a felony charge of having unlawful sex with a 15-year-old boy enrolled in the program.

A Sept. 6 preliminary hearing date was set for 25-year-old Chrystina Delrosario, who was allowed to remain out of custody on $100,000 bail.

Delrosario allegedly had sex with the teen in a classroom at her workplace, Reflections Central School, on an afternoon in late June, according to La Mesa police Capt. Dan Willis. The defendant was arrested on July 16.

There was no immediate evidence of any other alleged episodes of illegal contact on her part with the San Diego boy or with any other juveniles, the captain said.

Reflections Central School, an educational program for certain underage criminal defendants, is run by the county Office of Education on behalf of the county Probation Department.
