La Mesa Police Unable to Locate Burglary Suspect, Seek Public Help

The suspect is described as a black female in her late 20s. She was wearing a white t-shirt, baggy kaki pants and a blue head wrap. She was running southeast from the 7400 block of Colony Drive.

The La Mesa Police Department released the following statement on Tuesday, May 29, 2012:

On May 29, at approximately 4:15 PM, the La Mesa Police Department received a call of a burglary that had just been interrupted in the 7400 block of Colony Drive. The witnesses reported that they observed the suspect hanging out of the window of the victim’s home. When they confronted her, she ran away.

La Mesa officers established a perimeter and with the assistance of San Diego Sheriff’s ASTREA, attempted to located the suspect with negative results.

The suspect is described as a black female in her late 20s. She was wearing a white t-shirt, baggy kaki pants and a blue head wrap. The suspect was last seen running southeast from the area.

It is believed that the suspect may live in the area. The investigation in continuing. Anyone with information is urged to call the La Mesa Police Department at (619) 667-1400.
