La Mesa Dale Elementary School to Host Police Forum Tonight

Latest in series of town hall meetings with residents will cover variety of subjects, off chance for questions.

The latest in a series of neighborhood forums on public safety will be held at 6 p.m. Monday (today) at La Mesa Dale Elementary School, 4370 Parks Ave.

 “This forum is part of a series of community forums to encourage public discussion and questions about issues specific to the individual neighborhoods within the City of La Mesa,” says the Police Department.

Police Chief Al Lanning will be on hand to discuss crime statistics in the area and answer any questions.

Short presentations are planned on the department’s response to sex offender issues and information about the duties of the school resource officer. Disaster preparedness information and resources will also be available at the forum.

 “This forum is designed to be interactive and enhance the working relationship the police have with the citizens of La Mesa,” say police. “Audience questions are encouraged and appreciated.”
