A man suffered minor injuries after being struck by a vehicle outside Grossmont Center's Barnes & Nobles Booksellers on Sunday evening, according to police.
Sgt. Bret Richards of the La Mesa Police Department said the accident occurred at a slow speed and the victim, who appeared to be in his mid-20s, was treated by medics at the scene. The man had a scratched leg and refused to go to the hospital, he said.
Police were given the license plate number and are currently trying to locate the vehicle, Richards said. He declined to release a complete description of the passenger vehicle at this time.
