FBI Seeks Help to ID Suspect in Bank Robbery on Lake Murray Blvd.

The FBI and La Mesa Police Department announced Monday that they are seeking the public’s assistance to identify the suspect in a robbery at the Wells Fargo Bank branch on Lake Murray Boulevard in La Mesa.

On July 5 at about 4:30 p.m. the suspect handed a demand note for cash to a bank teller at the Wells Fargo at 5610 Lake Murray Blvd. The suspect received some money and was last seen walking to the parking lot, though no vehicle was seen.

The suspect is described by witnesses as a white male, about 5’7”, 210 pounds, gray hair and mustache, in his mid-50s, and with a heavy build.
