Double Trouble for LMPD: Police Seek Purse-Snatcher—and the Snatchee

Victim is described as woman in her 50s, but police don't know who it is, seek help of witnesses.

La Mesa police Monday were seeking information on a purse-snatching that occurred early Saturday afternoon in the area of El Cajon Boulevard and Baltimore Drive.

They were looking for more than a suspect.  Police are seeking the victim as well.

According to authorities, “at approximately 12:40 p.m., La Mesa police officers responded … [to] a report of an unknown female having her purse stolen. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the victim or additional witnesses.”

The victim was described as a white female in her 50s, police said.

Anyone with information on this case is asked to call the La Mesa Police Department at 619-667-1400.
