Detectives Seek Tips To Identify Suspects in Spring Valley Kidnapping Case

The victim was beaten, bound and held captive in the trunk of a car.

Detectives with the Lemon Grove Sheriff's Station are reaching out to the public for help on a case in which a man was bound and kidnapped from his Spring Valley home by four assailants last June.

Investigators are looking for suspects the victim knew as “Red” or Jordan, Vanessa, Giovanni and Ricky or Ritchie, who beat the 24-year-old man, bound him with duct tape and trapped him in the trunk of his own car about 9 p.m. June 16 in Spring Valley.

The man was able to escape his captors by releasing the trunk latch of his Toyota Camry when the car was at a stop in San Ysidro. The victim was able to run to a nearby gas station for help, and the suspects fled in the car.
