Crime Report: Bicycle Stolen During Strong-Arm Robbery

The following information was provided by the San Diego Sheriff's Department. The suspects have not been convicted of a crime.

Wednesday, Nov. 16

A ring valued at $1,200 was reported stolen from a residence in the 1600 block of Ramona Avenue between 8:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.

A residential burglary was reported in the 900 block of Broadview Street between 1 p.m. and 10 p.m. A watch and other items valued at $390 were reported missing.

A stolen car was recovered in the 9000 block of Lemon Street.

A car valued at $3,000 was reported stolen in the 700 block of Ramona Avenue between 12:15 a.m. and 6:30 a.m.

A bicycle valued at $1,200 and other items valued at $1,460 were reported stolen during a strong-arm robbery in the 600 block of Conception Avenue around 7:45 p.m. A 22-year-old man reported minor injuries.

A vehicle burglary was reported in the 10700 block of Jamacha Boulevard, with $200 worth of items missing.

Thursday, Nov. 17

Ryan Reyes, 18, and a juvenile were arrested for suspicion of felony shoplifting in the 8700 block of Jamacha Boulevard. Rite Aid and Albertsons were listed as victims. Liquor and other items valued at $53.96 were recovered.

A 54-year-old man was cited and released for suspicion of misdemeanor vandalism in the 8800 block of Delrose Avenue around noon. A $20 lock was damaged or destroyed.

A strong-arm robbery was reported on Kenwood Drive at Kenwood Court at 5:45 p.m. A phone, knife and music equipment valued at $315 were reported missing. An 18-year-old male reported minor injuries.

A car valued at $2,500 was reported stolen in the 700 block of Kempton Street, taken between 10 p.m. Nov. 16 and 6:30 a.m. Nov. 17.

Friday, Nov. 18

A subject stop led to the arrest of James Heacox, 49, for suspicion of felony possession of a controlled substance in the 400 block of Sacramento Avenue around 1:15 a.m.

A stolen car was recovered in the 9000 block of Redfield Street.

A residential burglary was reported in the 1500 block of Helix Street. Two pistols and other items valued at $2,390 were reported missing.

A subject stop in the 400 block of Sacramento Avenue just after 8 p.m. led to the arrest of Kevin Ratliff, 53, for a felony parole violation.

A traffic stop in the 1400 block of Sweetwater Road at 9:17 a.m. led to the arrest of Sheryl Thorson, 45, for suspicion of felony possession of a controlled substance.

A residential burglary was reported in the 2200 block of Helix Street around 11 p.m. Items valued at $3,419 were reported missing, including two pistols.

A stolen car was recovered in the 9000 block of Redland Street.

A car valued at $1,500 was reported stolen in the 8700 block of Jamacha Road.

Saturday, Nov. 19

A stolen car was recovered on Windham Court at Bancroft Drive. 

Sunday, Nov. 20

A battery on a person was reported in the 8800 block of Olive Drive around 12:35 a.m. A 51-year-old woman reported minor injuries.

A case of identity theft was reported in the 9300 block of Hillside Drive. The loss was estimated at $2,159. 85.

The theft of $645 in currency was reported in a building in the 1500 block of Ramona Avenue.

A car valued at $40,000 was reported stolen in the 3600 block of S. Granada Avenue.

Saturday, Nov. 21

A building in the 9100 block of Jamacha Road reported the theft of $200 in metal and $8,000 worth of vandalism damage, occurring between 6 p.m. Nov. 18 and 8 a.m. Nov. 21.

A special detail resulted in the arrest of Frank Rios, 31, for suspicion of possession of marijuana for sale and a felony parole violation in the 400 block of Sacramento Avenue around 2:30 p.m.

A stolen car was recovered in the 8700 block of Lamar Street.

Tuesday, Nov. 22

A residential burglary was reported in the 600 block of Water View Lane.

A residential burglary was reported in the 1600 block of Sweetwater Lane between 4:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Items valued at $1,875 were reported missing, including weapons and ammunition.

Adrian Garcia, 21, was arrested for suspicion of felony burglary in the 2800 block of Bancroft Drive around 1:30 a.m. A beer tap valued at $15.72 was reported stolen from 7-Eleven and recovered.

A car valued at $1,000 was reported stolen in the 900 block of Sweetwater Road between 9:45 p.m. and 11:45 p.m.
