Crash Causes Backup on state Route 125; at Least One Injured

The crash occurred just south of Navajo Road, where onramp to southbound 125 was closed.

A crash on southbound state Route 125 sent at least one person to the hospital and blocked traffic Sunday in the La Mesa area.

The crash happened about 1:20 p.m. just south of Navajo Road when a vehicle swerved across four lanes and overturned in the middle lanes, said a California Highway Patrol dispatcher.

Traffic on the freeway was backed up as the vehicle blocked the two middle lanes. Motorists were only able to pass in the left-most lane, the dispatcher said. The La Mesa Police Department also shut down the onramp from Navajo Road to southbound 125.
