Car Crashes into Omelette Factory in La Mesa

A driver crashed into a La Mesa restaurant today, which slightly scrambled a breakfast patron.

Shortly before 9 a.m., the car struck the Omelette Factory on Baltimore Drive, north of Fletcher Parkway, according to Heartland Fire & Rescue.

One customer inside the restaurant sustained minor injuries, and the structure was damaged, fire officials said.

Fire officials said crews would remain on scene until a building inspector arrived and evacuated the building for safety issues.
