Explosive Bottle Thrown at Trolley in La Mesa

La Mesa police found a explosive device at trolley station.

A bottle bomb exploded at the Spring Street Trolley Station, said La Mesa police.

Officers responded to a report around 8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 3.  

Police reviewed a surveillance video and saw someone throw the bottle at the trolley, minutes later the bottled bursted and exploded.

A disfigured 16 ounce plastic bottle was found filled with unknown gases and chemicals. 

The trolley was not damaged and no one was injured. The suspect(s) were not found or identified.
