Abigail Luker went missing over the July Fourth weekend at a family gathering.

Late last week authorities in Massachusetts announced that a body recovered from the Connecticut River was identified as a missing 5-year-old girl from La Mesa who was last seen during the July Fourth weekend.

The Northwestern district attorney's office announced Wednesday that the medical examiner identified the body as Abigail Luker.

She went missing July 6, last seen on a dock on the Connecticut River, according to MassLive.com. The body was found on July 10 about 500 yards down river. Her family was vacationing in Massachusetts for a family gathering over the July Fourth weekend.

"Luker's death was determined to be a tragic accident, with no foul play whatsoever involved," district attorney's office Communications director Mary Carey told MassLive.com.
