21-Year-Old Man Found Dead in Car at Grossmont College Parking Lot

The subject was pronounced dead at the scene. Police said there was no obvious sign of trauma.

The body of a 21-year-old male was found in a car parked at Grossmont College Thursday at 12:40 p.m., authorities said.

Grossmont College police, El Cajon police and medical personnel responded to a call made by a Grossmont student, acording to El Cajon police.

The student was returning to class and noticed the male subject motionless and unresponsive, sitting in the driver's seat of a car, which was parked in the north-west lot of campus, police said.

The subject was pronounced dead at the scene. Police said there was no obvious sign of trauma.

The El Cajon Police Department, in conjunction with Grossmont College Police, is conducting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the subject’s death. The body was taken into custody by the Medical Examiner's Office. The name of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of family.
