Don't worry, he won't spend any time in prison. This is California.

California is #17 in the USA in prison population , we will be soon in the top 10. With our 3 strike law , the State Prison Guard Union is now more stronger than the teachers union. This guy is going to Prison, we are building many new prison's ...!!! due to a court order.

Felony grand theft auto cases are being plea-bargained down to misdemeanor 'joy riding' to save time. Prosecutors get a feather in their hat for every conviction, not every criminal sent to prison. That cab driver who was murdered in Lemon Grove in 2011 was killed by a car thief, excuse me, joy rider who had taken a car and led police on a chase only a couple months before. He had been sentenced to probation. This one worked out quite well for the criminal justice industry. They not only got an auto theft, excuse me, joy riding conviction out of it they also got a murder conviction. Follow the money.

Yup that's the problem Frank, too many people in prison. But there is good news for you Frank, they have released 1400 life sentence prisoners in the last three years. Hopefully one of those misunderstood killers will live next to you and your family.
