Attempted Residential Burglary Reported on Shirlene Place

Police offer a reward for information about the unknown suspect who removed a window screen while trying to break in.

An attempted residential burglary was reported Sunday in the 3900 block of Shirlene Place, according to the La Mesa Police Department.

The resident told police that sometime between 12:30 and 10:30 a.m. someone tried to enter their home by taking off a window screen, but was thwarted by the locked window. 

There is no suspect description at this time. The La Mesa Police Department asked anyone with information about the incident to contact them. Tipsters can remain anonymous, and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
