Arrests Made in Spring Street Trolley Station Robbery

Two male juveniles from Spring Valley were arrested Thursday in connection with a robbery at the Spring Street trolley station on Feb. 13, according to the La Mesa Police Department.

Police made the arrests at the El Cajon courthouse while the 17-year-old suspects were there on an unrelated matter.

During the late-afternoon robbery at the station's bus bench, the suspects took the victim's cell phone and began fighting with him, inflicting scratches to his neck, according to La Mesa police.

Both suspects were booked into juvenile hall on robbery charges.
