2 Women Rob 2 Women Near Amaya Trolley Station

Victims were reportedly assaulted and robbed by the women near the corner of Campina and Severin drives Wednesday afternoon, the La Mesa Police Department said.

Police were on the lookout Thursday for two young women who robbed two women in La Mesa, causing minor injuries.

The victims were punched and robbed of their cell phones in the area of Campina and Severin drives shortly before 5 p.m. Wednesday, according to La Mesa police. The robbers were last seen running toward the trolley station on Amaya Drive, police said in a statement.

Police described both suspects as black and around 18 years old. One stands roughly 5 feet 5 and was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, black shorts and black tights, police said. Her accomplice is about 5 feet 8, has dreadlocks and was last seen wearing a dark T-shirt and light purple shoes.
