June Ends Warm; No Records or Rain

An unexpectedly strong coastal eddy (movement of air counter to a main current, causing a small whirlpool) enhances the county’s marine layer preventing temperatures from rising quickly during the morning hours. Daily high temperatures are still expected to above average leading into the long Fourth of July holiday weekend.
