2011-2012 Rain Calendar Ends June 30th at Lowest Level in 5 Years

Weather Window: June 2012 Extremes for La Mesa

There's no denying raw empirical data that the past year's been dry in La Mesa and southern California in general. The 2011-2012 precipitation season (from July 1 to June 30) recorded the lowest measurable rain over at least the past 5 years, and there's no evidence to suspect a significant turnaround in the immediate future.

Local temperatures over the past month were generally slightly elevated against the norm. Daytime highs are expected to be near normal for the first full week of July, then begin ascending mid month. The average daytime high in July is 83°F.
