Noise Trolley at Night Decibels Over Guidelines

Are trolley trips excessive through La Mesa in the night hours?

La Mesa residents have given authorities an opportunity to mitigate trolley noise impact affecting quality of life.

Residents spoke before the City of La Mesa Council regarding this in 2011 and 2014 in San Diego County California.

Night hours and excessive trips were not addressed by the Public Utilities authority in 2011.

The Amaya area, Severin Dr, Water St. Loren Dr, and several other surrounding streets are affected by the trolley noise and horns.

Petitions from people living in 44 parcels were submitted to La Mesa Council 2011.

The new La Mesa general plan seems to misrepresent decibels for the area in the noise element map.

The February 2014 La Mesa Town Hall meeting had residents voicing there opinions to authorities regarding the noise and Severin traffic congestion from the trolley crossing.

The google site called "Noise Trolley" has more info. You can search it and easily find it as it has been there since 2011.
