The popular "offline community" building website, Meetup.com is down since February 27-th.
Thousands of local Meetup members from La Mesa and other parts of San Diego County are trying to make contact with each other throughout the weekend.
"Over the past several days, Meetup has suffered a prolonged denial of service (DDoS) attack, resulting in intermittent service outages for our website and apps. We're working urgently to bring Meetup back and restore full functionality. We appreciate your patience." - says the note on Meetup.com.
We wish well to Meetup on behalf of all who can't wait to get out of their shell and leave the computer behind to meet real life people, find like-minded friends near home.
