Mounarath-Powell Productions premieres a new dance company, KO Dance Company, in a full-length dance concert titled “Inner-State”. Watch as this company delineates internal and external human experiences and the multi-faceted journeys we embark upon through life. Under the artistic direction of Katie O’Rourke, this new dance company delves into both expressionistic and objectivist frameworks as a means to present eclectic, original, and tangible work that is both aesthetically pleasing and rich in movement. “Inner-State” deals with the intricacies and milestones that shape the people, places, and things we encounter through the past; the moments that identify and mold us into the people we become.
The Artistic Director of this Dance Company is Katie O'Rourke. She is the Dance Department Director over at Helix Charter High School.
