TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® launches April Career Move Month

TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® launches Career Move Month nationwide! Learn about the Job opportunities at your local San Diego TWO MEN AND A TRUCK®!

Coming off of a record-breaking year, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® growth increased more than 18 percent totaling 39 straight months of growth dating back to December 2009. As a result, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® will ramp up recruiting efforts this spring before heading into the busy summer season.

That means thousands of employees will need to be hired in all fields from movers and drivers to marketing specialists and up to management level staff. Additionally a key message during Career Move Month is to highlight that positions at TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® are not simply jobs but careers. More than 75 percent of TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® location management started in front line positions.

The San Diego TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® location opened in September 2012. Since opening, the franchise has hired a moving consultant, a move manager and several movers and drivers. And after only eight months in business, the company is expanding its fleet from two moving trucks to five trucks. In order to sustain growth and continue providing excellent customer service, the franchise is offering San Diego job opportunities for crew members and staff. These opportunities include operations manager, mover and driver positions.

During the month of April TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® will promote a new and improved hiring website, directing candidates to apply using their online application form. In an effort to reach the ultimate goal of 10,000 applications, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK®/International, Inc. Human Resources Director Sara Bennett said the company will tie a charitable donation to this goal.

“Should we reach 10,000 applications, we will give $5,000 to the Dress for Success organization, supporting five chapters across the country,” she said. “We chose Dress for Success because the mission of the organization is to promote the economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing professional attire, a network of support and the career development tools to help women thrive in work and in life. TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Career Move Month is all about providing career growth opportunities; our goal and the mission of Dress for Success merge beautifully.”

TWO MEN AND A TRUCK®/International, Inc. President Randy Shacka said Career Move Month is a first for the company and a necessary effort to recruit additional talent.

“We need exceptional people to deliver on our mission statement and continue to get and keep additional customers as a brand,” he said. “We have more customers wanting our service than ever before. The inaugural Career Move Month will spread the message regarding the opportunities within TWO MEN AND A TRUCK®, help build our pipeline of talent and keep locations staffed, which will enable us to better serve our customers.”
