Here We Come A-Waissaling—on Mount Helix

Sing some holiday tunes and sip some cocoa at the annual caroling event at Mount Helix Park.

What’s Christmas without some caroling? An this weekend is giving residents their caroling fix and a hot cup of cheer.

Each year, for the past 20+ years at the , carols are sung by the community and money is raised for the Park. This year is no different. Come Sunday, holiday humbug gets banished as Christmas cheer fills the amphitheater with the park’s traditional Christmas caroling.

Favorites like Frosty the Snowman and Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer will be sung by all. Leading the sing along favorites will be Gina Seashore. Santa will even make an appearance, presenting photo opportunities and gift-wish hearing. He may even sing along to a song or two.

Complimentary hot chocolate and coffee will be given out to all the carolers to keep their hands and vocal chords warm throughout the night. Handmade wreaths and other items will be available for purchase, with proceeds benefitting the park.

Ready to sing some Christmas cheer? Visit the Mt. Helix Park Amphitheatre at 4901 Mount Helix Dr, La Mesa on Sunday. Caroling begins at 6 p.m. but shuttles will be running from the fire station at 10105 Vivera Dr., La Mesa, beginning at 5:30 p.m. Dress up the whole family in their coats, mittens, scarves and hats and bring a blanket to sit on while you sing.
