Shout-Out to Ruth, Kristine, Shannon & Patrick

Congratulations to Ruth for being reelected and congratulations to Kristine as our newest council member. Good job Shannon, you came so close to winning a seat. Patrick, you are so tenacious and true to yourself; I really admire that.

Ruth, I hope you continue to be that independent voice you are known for, and Kristine, as the fresh face and voice on the council, please use your new influence toward addressing La Mesa’s disquieting crime problem.

I wholeheartedly thank everyone who voted for me, who put my signs in their yards, who shared their opinions with me and contributed to my campaign. I especially want to thank the real estate community for their unexpected and very generous support. So sorry, the outcome wasn’t what we hoped.

Thank you La Mesa Patch for being home to my La Mesa blogs and thank you, too, La Mesa Today for your detailed coverage of the campaign and your obsession with all things La Mesa.

Most of all thank you Simon, Mack, Lainey and Milly for your love and there-there pats on my back. You all make me love coming home.

I seriously cannot wait to throw away the signs, shut down the website and plunge gleefully back into my day job. The MLS never looked so good.
