On Friday, December 13, members of Helix Charter High School's Associated Student Body (ASB) continued its tradition of honoring the La Mesa Fire and Police Departments. ASB students, along with their advisor, visited both departments, delivering holiday cookies, cards signed by students, and posters with notes from the Helix student body. The students started this last year as a way to commemorate the Sandyhook shootings. "We just want to show how much we appreciate the service that these incredible men and women provide to our school," said Kayla Bulster, Helix ASB advisor.
