La Mesa Little League All Stars Notch Victory Against North Park
La Mesa National Little League's 11-12 All Stars continue winning streak with victory over North Park.
There was excitement and anticipation in the air Tuesday evening when the La Mesa National Little League 11-12 All Stars took on the North Park All Stars as La Mesa worked to hold onto a two game winning streak.
While there were no home runs from either team, it was a well played game with skill from both sides. La Mesa took an early two run lead in the first inning when runners advanced off a sacrifice fly. La Mesa continued to build their lead while North Park fought to score runs of their own against strong pitching from La Mesa’s Jackson Hulett and Matthew Chesnut. Catcher Dean Schwartz provided a tight defensive wall to pair with both pitchers.
With La Mesa still ahead, North Park finally managed to score two runs in the 4th inning. When La Mesa again came up to bat, a powerful triple and lightning base running from Joe Williams placed him in scoring position to soon be brought home for an additional La Mesa run.

Despite attempted rallies by North Park in the 5th and 6th innings, La Mesa ultimately prevailed for a six to three final score. The La Mesa National 11-12 All Stars will next face Allied Gardens on Saturday.
