Local Youth Soccer Players Practice with Women's World Cup Player Rachel Buehler

The players were divided into groups by age and then moved through a series of skill workshop stations coached by Miss Buehler and other instructors.

A group of East County youth soccer players were lucky participants in a Sunday soccer skills clinic with Rachel Buehler, a member of the U.S. Women’s Soccer team and player in the 2011 FIFA Women’s World Cup.

The event was sponsored by Soccer Shots and co-hosted by the Oranje (OVC) Soccer Club.  There were two skill clinics, one for children 3-9 in the morning, and one for age 10-18 in the afternoon.  The players were divided into groups by age and then moved through a series of skill workshop stations coached by Miss Buehler and other instructors to build ball control, passing, and goal scoring abilities.
