What You Need To Know for Labor Day

Schools and a number of government offices will be closed for the holiday on Monday, September 3.

Labor Day—the federal holiday that honors the U.S. workforce—is coming up Monday, causing a number of changes in government services.

Here's what you need to know:

  • Labor Day (Monday): Sunny and clear, high near 89º. Night: Partly cloudy, low around 68º.

Other Notes

  • public schools will be closed on Monday. schools, including Grossmont, Monte Vista and Mount Miguel High Schools, are closed as well.
  • Helix and Steele Canyon Charter high schools are also closed.
  • The , , and library branches are closed Monday, but will reopen on Tuesday.
  • The and Spring Valley Gym are closed as well.
  • Emergency service is not affected by the holiday. Call 911 if you have an emergency.
