'She Saved My Dog's Life,' Owner Says After Pit Bull Attack

Dog handler and veterinary assistant Pam Henson helped a small dog named Rico who suffered wounds after a pit bull attack last week.

Harry Pfeifer was walking his Havanese mix Rico last week when a pit bull broke loose from its owner and attacked the small dog outside Rancho Village Pet Hospital in the 3600 block of Avocado Boulevard.

That's when Veterinary Assistant Pam Henson sprung into action, CBS 8 reported.

"(Pam) saved my dog's life," Pfeifer said.
