Happy 2nd Birthday to La Mesa-Mount Helix Patch!

To date, we have published more than 6,100 articles, which averages out to a whopping 8.3 pieces of new content per day. Our stable of bloggers have also published more than 500 blogs in the last year alone.

On Saturday, Sept. 29, La Mesa Patch (which combined sites to form La Mesa-Mount Helix Patch in March 2012), will celebrate its second anniversary.

During that time, we have worked hard to provide La Mesa and Spring Valley residents with a go-to source of news and information for these neighborhoods.

To date, we have published more than 6,100 articles, which averages out to a whopping 8.3 pieces of new content per day. Our stable of bloggers have also published more than 500 blogs in the last year alone.

Along with those content items, there have also been thousands of original photos published in our bevy of engaging photo galleries.

Don't have to go to the UT anymore for local news, especially stuff that affects my neighborhood. Thanks!

Happy Birthday Patch! I'm not so much a fan as I was in the past. The polls are driving me crazy! Thanks TIL for stealing my thunder =D Although this is a site to voice your opinion, it seems more and more the comments are rude and direct, personal attacks on other commenters, carried over from past articles. It's just not as fun as it used to be. My hope for the 3rd Birthday is to have a little more harmony, like our 1st Birthday.

I think the best part is having people discuss what the city council is doing.
