The Mt. Helix Park Foundation recently made the following announcement:
Join us for the Fourth Annual East County Earth Day. You won’t want to miss this free, family-fun event to be held at Mt. Helix Park and Amphitheater.
Co-hosted by The Jarrett Meeker and Mt. Helix Park Foundations, East County Earth Day will feature eco-friendly vendors such as Birch Aquarium, The California Wolf Center and I Love A Clean San Diego with interactive environmental and wildlife presentations.
The Jan Conner Duo, David Rouillard and George Comes will be performing at the top of the Park while the speaker stage will feature Marion Stacey of The Hummingbird Rescue, The San Diego Zoo, and La Mesa Fair Trade.
For students grades K through 12, The San Diego Zoo and ArtSmarts, Inc will co-sponsor an Endangered Species Art Contest and for families the all new Earth Day Scavenger Hunt invites sleuths to navigate the Yawkey Nature Trail and event booths while they decipher clues and solve mysteries for prizes.
