Putting Our Houses in Order for Christmas: An Advent Study Program

Decorating…gifts…parties…greeting cards…friends…family – the

hustle and bustle of getting ready for and celebrating Christmas.  It

seems to start earlier each year…and grow ever more hectic.  Getting our

houses and our lives in order for the holidays can be a daunting challenge, one

that can eclipse Advent, the season of preparation for the coming of the God

who makes all things new for us.

A three-session “Lunchtime Advent Study,” led by The Rev.

Kaji Douša at the

United Church of Christ of La Mesa (UCCLM), will focus on ways of bringing joy

to the season by “putting our houses in order” spiritually, physically and

within our families and communities.

We invite you to join us for these discussions, to share

with us the opportunity to experience new meaning and depth as we prepare for

the wonder of Christmas.
