Mt. Helix Academy's Multicultural Open House

The students of Mt. Helix Academy are celebrating multiculturalism all this month, culminating with their annual international ethnic food sampling and a tour of student projects on Thursday, March 27th.

This year's spotlighted countries/cultures include: Ireland, England, Mexico, Russia, China, Native Americans, Japan, Greece, Italy, India, and the United States.  Representative international cuisine from each culture will be prepared and served by Mt. Helix Academy parents beginning at 5:00 p.m.

Following the sampling of cuisine from the countries being studied, a tour of student projects will begin at 6:00 p.m.  Students spend all month studying the various aspects of each culture and construct elaborate presentations that they feel best represent the people and social history that they have been learning about.
