From Cowles Mountain to Carpathian Mountains

Yale Strom (violin) and Lou Fanucchi (accordion), members of the band Hot Pstromi, will perform klezmer and Roma music from the hinterlands of the Carpathian to the Ural Mountains of Eastern Europe. Strom is an internationally known klezmer scholar, filmmaker, photographer and playwright who has done years of ethnographic field research in Eastern Europe among the Jews and Roma (Gypsies) and has performed all over the world. Fanucchi is an accordion virtuoso specializing in tango, jazz, Italian and klezmer music and has performed throughout the U.S. Hear the stories and music that are part of the rich Yiddish culture of Eastern Europe.
