Hike with a Ranger!

Come and learn about the unique habitats of our beautiful San Diego National Wildlife Refuge in East County, Jamul; led by a US Fish & Wildlife Service Ranger.

This refuge has over 13 different federally threatened and endangered species living within it. Hikes are once per month on a Saturday, usually from 9-11am. The hikes are easy to moderate, have no shade, and no restrooms, so please plan accordingly! There are three trailhead locations to meet at, and rotate each month. Children encouraged, just be aware the walk is 2 hrs long.

We will have an educational activity for the kids to do on the hike.

Wear sturdy walking shoes and a hat. Bring water and binoculars if you have them.

January's hike will be located at the old steel bridge location off HWY 94 (Campo Road) in Jamul/Rancho San Diego area. It is located across the YMCA at the intersection of Singer Lane + Campo Road.  Please call if you need directions. RSVPs appreciated!
