A unique choral version of "The Nutcracker Suite" performed by the San Diego Festival Chorus and Orchestra. Rarely performed, it was originally done by the famous Fred Waring Orchestra and Chorus for their annual TV Christmas revues in the '50s and '60s. KUSI's meteorologist, Dave Scott will be narrating, reading the humorous poem, "The New Nutcracker Suite" by J. Ogden Nash. A ballerina will be dancing too. Also included is Beethoven's choral masterpiece, Mass in C Major. And for Hanukah we have an unusual vocal prayer, "Song of Galilee".
In its eleventh season, the San Diego Festival Chorus, 70 voices with a 45 piece orchestra, is based in East County and has performed over 50 choral masterworks in San Diego and in Europe.
