9/11 Survivor, Commission Member to Speak at Mount Miguel Covenant Village

9/11 Survivor and Commission member will tell his personal story of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2:30 p.m., Mount Miguel Covenant Village, 325 Kempton St., Spring Valley. U.S. Navy Lieutenant Kevin Shaeffer survived the attack on the Pentagon, recovered from burns on nearly 50 percent of his body, and served as one of 26 professional staff members of the 9/11 Commission. He served critical roles in counterterrorism and counterproliferation. He is now helping the Wounded Warrior Project make a difference in the lives of wounded service members and their families.
