Warming Trend Expected Through Holiday Weekend

Observed conditions for Thursday, Sept. 1, 2011, from La Mesa Mesonet station. Forecast data from National Weather Service.

Friday forecast: Mostly cloudy early with patchy fog, then gradually becoming sunny with a daytime high near 84. Calm wind becoming west between 5 and 10 mph. Mostly clear overnight with areas of late patchy fog and a low around 62. Northwest wind between 5 and 10 mph becoming calm.

Saturday forecast: Early morning patchy fog, then sunny with a daytime high near 85. Calm wind becoming west between 5 and 10 mph. Mostly clear overnight with areas of late patchy fog and a low around 62. West wind around 5 mph becoming calm.

Extended forecast: Areas of early morning patchy fog both Sunday and Monday (Labor Day), then sunny with daytime highs in the mid to upper 80s and overnight lows in the low 60s under mostly clear skies.
