'The Brig' Comes Up Big in Best Local Seafood Poll

The Brigantine picked up 58 percent of the vote in the poll.

One of the great luxuries in living in a coastal city is the proliferation of great seafood. And though the Pacific Ocean isn't exactly lapping at the city limits of La Mesa, there's still seafood to be had.

In what was clearly a two-seahorse race from the get-go, cast the biggest net in the Best Seafood Readers' Choice Poll, earning 58 percent of the votes. Coming in second The Brig's cross-freeway neighbor, , which won 26 percent of the vote.
