Plans Moving Forward For County Administration Center Waterfront Park

– The County of San Diego’s debt issuance for its 2011 Administration Center Waterfront Park project was rated among the highest by three national credit rating agencies. This marks the County’s sustained resilient fiscal discipline and monetary management.

– In a ceremony on Monday, County officials and Board of Supervisors Vice Chairman Ron Roberts began building a one-megawatt solar power system at Otay Mesa’s East Mesa Detention Complex.  The large photovoltaic system is anticipated to save $1.3 million power costs in the County over the next 20 years.

– The San Diego County Library is receiving a $1,000 donation to purchase new books from Ashton University and the San Diego Padres. During a donation story time event, where a Padres will read to children, at the San Marcos Branch on 2 Civic Center Drive, the donation will be presented on August 16 at 10:30 a.m.
