Photo Gallery: No One Injured In Single Car Crash In Spring Valley

San Diego County Sheriff's said that a seat belt prevented the driver from being seriously injured.

A single-car crash resulted in no injuries, other than a bruised ego for driver Andy Gasca, 23.

According to San Diego County Sheriff's deputies, Gasca was driving his white Jeep Grand Cherokee and turning left onto Helix Street from Lamar Street. An ill-timed cell phone call distracted Gasca, who hit an embankment, and flipped the vehicle on its side.

"I was just rolling, and I looked down at my cell phone and just flipped over. They need some guard rails right there," Gasca said, laughing.

Authorities said that because Gasca was wearing his seatbelt, he kept himself from being really injured. The accident occurred shortly after 1:30 p.m. on Friday.
