Nature’s Labor: Monday Provided First Measurable Precipitation for 2011-12

Observed conditions for Monday, Sept. 5, 2011, from La Mesa Mesonet station. Forecast data from National Weather Service.

Monday saw the first measurable rain since the start of the precipitation calendar, which runs from July 1 to June 30—0.01 inch.

Tuesday forecast: Mostly sunny with a daytime high near 89. Calm wind becoming west around 5 mph. Mostly clear overnight with a low around 68. West wind around 5 mph becoming calm.

Wednesday forecast: Sunny with a daytime high near 91. Calm wind becoming west around 5 mph. Mostly clear overnight with a low around 64.

Extended forecast: Sunny Thursday with a daytime high near 85 and an overnight low around 61 with increasing cloudiness and late patchy fog.
